An Angel in the Choir

We fought, we laughed, we cried. Every Wednesday, I pushed and pulled her to practice. I threatened her, bribed her, I pleaded with her to sing the songs that the instructor wanted them to. She promised she would. Then, she fooled around for the whole hour. We cried on the away home. But, we went to every practice. Then, they announced the first performance, a practice recital before their performance at Christmas Mass. New clothes, fixed up her hair, ironed her choir robe. Fixed her a big healthy breakfast which she didn't eat. Got to the Hispanic Cultural Center. She decided she did not want to be in the choir. More fighting and crying. She got sick to her stomach. She was hungry. She went up to sing and stood with her group and pouted. Finally, a song she liked. My angel started to sing. Heavenly!Check Spelling

Lilly has discovered Cora's window. She loves laying on her bed and looking out the window. She is looking for burds (birds) and planes. Yesterday, she was in our bedroom and she heard a plane. She told her dad 'mon, 'mon. She took him to Cora's bedroom to find the plane. She can spend hours looking for burds and planes.

Sleepy

Very sleepy. The girls are asleep. The dogs are snoring. Trying to get every chore done so, I'll have none tomorrow. It's not working. I'm fading fast. With each chore, I think of ten more. Laundry is extremely boring. If I could learn just one magic spell, it would be a spell to get all the laundry done and put away. What would the magic words be?

Hi!

This is my first blog. I'm starting this because as I'm keeping track of my family for the summer, my mind is swirling with ideas for the new school year, future career plans, possibly writing a book. Meanwhile, Lilly is crying "uppy, uppy." Cora wants fideos. I love it!
